Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK (WABC) -- If you are planning a trip this holiday season you might have noticed air fares are up. Overall air fares increased this year by 10%, but there are still deals out there.
The best day to fly is Christmas Eve, but you can still find cheap fares by flying on Christmas Day.
The best day to return from your trip is December 27th.To avoid higher prices, don't plan on flying the busiest travel day, January 2nd.
