Some hospitals curb samples of baby formula

Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK (WABC) -- For generations, hospitals have sent newborns home with a small bag of goodies, including infant formula.

Health officials say the gift packs of infant formula undermine efforts to encourage breastfeeding.

Doctors generally recommend breastfeeding exclusively for the first six months.
