Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK (WABC) -- About 3,000 MTA employees are getting big, fat raises thanks to an arbitration panel.

The workers, mostly bus drivers, will see salary increases of 11 percent, retroactive to January 2009.

The panel rejected claims by the MTA that it didn't have the money.

Arbitrators told the agency to tap reserves, to divert money from capital projects and to use its savings.
