New York Waterways launches ferry app

NEW YORK (WABC) -- It's getting easier for folks to use the East River and Hudson River ferries.

New York Waterways now has a mobile app that allows riders to buy tickets and check out schedules.

The app launched on Friday and is free in the iTunes app store and Android Marketplace.

The app offers schedules, tickets and a live view of GPS from connecting bus routes.
