Stop & Shop sign violates Amityville color code

See it on TV? Check here.   Eyewitness NewsAMITYVILLE (WABC) -- Supermarket giant Stop and Shop is in the process of putting up new signs on its 400 stores nationwide, but there is a problem in Amityville.

The new logo contains, purple, green, red and yellow, which violates the village's color code.

Twelve years ago, Amityville passed an ordinance to keep commercial signs in line with the Victorian Nautical-style village. (Copyright ©2011 WABC-TV/DT. All Rights Reserved.)
